This month I am wrapping up three years as president of the Historic East Nashville Merchants Association (HENMA).  I have been an active member since 2006 and will continue to be.  It’s bittersweet to move on from the board though because I have enjoyed it so much but can’t wait to see what direction it takes next.  In 2008 we started having monthly mixers at various member businesses.  Most months we get about 40 people to come out.  It’s been very effective in strengthening community of the neighborhood businesses.

At one of the recent meetings we shot some video asking members what they liked about being a part of HENMA.  In this video are Laura Serbon, Lynn Taylor, Joel Daunic, Bob Acuff, Kenny Silva, Barbara Brown, Mark Scrivner and Jason Mallory.

If you have a business in East Nashville, I encourage you to be a part of HENMA.  It’s the best $50 you can spend on a business networking group.  I can’t tell you how many relationships  have made and new clients I have gotten from being active in this group.  Plus, I really love the people that participate. I hope I see you at the next one.
